Sarah Rose has been making zines for more than half of her life. Since moving to Philly, she has been involved with both Philly Zine Fest and Wooden Shoe Books, and currently writes Tazewell's Favorite Eccentric and runs Once Upon A Distro. When she's not thinking about zines, she makes balloon animals for a living and enjoys good books and coffee drinks.

Taryn Hipp is an old tattooed college lady living in South Jersey & working towards a degree in Psychology (she has also begun working on her doula certification from DONA). Taryn has been making zines since the late-90s (after a girl down the shore lent her an issue of Cometbus & it changed her life). Currently she writes a zine called Lady Teeth which is about addiction, recovery, love, mental illness, radical self-care & fucking shit up in the best way possible. In her spare time Taryn likes to hang out with her dude, their dog & a little orange cat. When they've had enough of her she goes on zine tours & reads her zines to strangers. Taryn will be touring in August with Cassie J. Sneider, author of the book Fine Fine Music. They will be heading to NYC, Boston & a few other spots. You should go see them.

Jaime is a freelance writer and video maker residing in West Philly. Though she surprisingly doesn't make zines herself she has been supportive of those that do. A huge advocate of mental health awareness, Jaime is currently in the process of reprogramming her brain and focusing on self-care. She's great at finding humor in the shittiest situations and is a rad example of human resilience. Who knows, maybe she'll write a zine about it. She aspires to one day own a goat and a giant dog.

Kristen likes long talks and the beach. Philly stole her heart early, and she's been growing here for going on nine years. writing is something that saves her often, and she's just starting to peek her nose into the idea of making her first zine, so she is really excited to be working with such awesome women and learning so much in helping put this event together. she has been involved in Project Safe in the past, currently works at the Wooden Shoe and is part of a feminist collective called "Revolt, she said." a few of her favorite things are her cat, nena, the moon, finding treasures on the ground, buttons, stars, the ocean, the fact that she and her partner have matching B.O., tiny animal bones, and remembering how awesome her job is, which is to hang out with her amazing teenage friend after school.

Jen King believes in curry, Nan Goldin and cats. She goes to Temple, and is there learning all about English Lit. She’s fairly new to the zine-making world (graduating over from the zine-reading world) and has the first issue of “Happily Wasting Away” out, but might change the name. The zine focuses on gentrification and, later, sea sponge tampons, in that order. She’s been spending the last few months working with Project Safe and meeting lots of bad ass women.
